Your Tax Dollars at Work [03 Jul 2006|12:25pm] The one with his head getting smashed against the curb is my friend Zack. Zack is a pacifist math nerd about to finish his PhD at UW. He jumped to the defense of another friend of mine who was attacked by an apparantly random road-raging dude that jumped out of a white mini van. After the first dude beat them down for a bit another dude jumped out of the van and announced repeatedly "I'm a fucking cop, your under fucking arrest." At which point Zack and Jace obviously stopped struggling with the other ununiformed, unidentified dude. Turns out the dudes are your own King County drug cops. Zack was arrested for assaulting a police officer. Total bullshit? I think so. I went to Zack's bail hearing on Saturday. He's been released from jail, but now he needs to defend himself in court, not an inexpensive proposition. I'm glad my tax dollars are going to pay the salaries of these thugs. Arrested Development Fever [10 Mar 2006|12:00pm] [ mood | i blue myself! ] So it seems that Arrested Development is not dead at all. There are lots of rumors about it getting picked up and the third season will be available on DVD. But in my internet travels i have found a subtle, but perhaps more profound indication that AD lives on. As many of you know the show's character Tobias is a "nevernude" (wiki wiki), meaning he never takes off a pair of cut-offs that he wears under every outfit. Here you see his (HOT) wife revealing the cut-offs: WELL.... It looks like The Gap has caught on because they are now selling these: So never fear, you will be able to wear cut-offs this summer, it's Gap approved. It was a very successful first cruising attempt... although i over indulged in the free rum last night... I have very exciting news: I just discovered the iTunes Essentials: Arena Rock list.
